Nanci leads you through a specific series of exercises designed by Dr. David Berceli, PhD, to facilitate the body’s natural shaking mechanism, which takes you out of “fight or flight” and brings you back into “rest and digest”. These exercises safely activate a natural reflex mechanism to shake or tremor. When this muscular shaking mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return back to its natural state of balance.
Backed by research, this fundamental theory states that stress, tension and trauma is both psychological and physical. The reflexive muscle shakes of TRE™ are described by many a pleasant and soothing experience. Nanci focuses on your comfort during the session and that you feel safe. She is also available post session for any inquiries.
This workshop is for pregnant women AND their partners. It is a great way for expectant parents to connect with each other and their unborn baby as they prepare for their baby's birth.
The first half of this workshop includes safe partner yoga, breath work, and meditation. In the second half, Nanci will teach the partners basic massage techniques for the mama-to-be to help her with some of the common discomforts of pregnancy. Massage is also beneficial for your baby as it reduces mama stress and discomforts which helps her rest.
All levels welcome. No prior experience necessary. Dress comfortably. Please arrive about 10 minutes early to gather your props and settle in.

Restorative Yoga is for anyone who wants to relax. It is an ideal practice for those with injuries, arthritis, inflammation, and physical challenges. All poses are done on the floor and held for 5-15 minutes as you rest on cozy props for deeper relaxation. This practice balances your nervous system and pacifies the “fight or flight“ response to every day stress.
Most students experience a profound sense of peace, tranquility, and restfulness which continues long after the workshop has ended. No prior experience is necessary.
